Chris Brown Gets Stuck in Midair During New Jersey Show as Singer Is Eventually Rescued by Ladder

Chris Brown doesn’t let technical difficulties stop his show.

The 35-year-old Grammy winner, who is currently on his 11:11 tour, had a bit of a hiccup during a visit to Newark, New Jersey on Wednesday (June 12). While performing at the Prudential Center, the entertainer got stuck in the air due to a malfunction in his suspension wires.

In a video of the incident shared by a fan on TikTok, Brown is seen hanging upside down while singing his 2019 hit “Under the Influence.”

Although the singer was supposed to be hovering above the arena, he was also supposed to come down – which took much longer than expected.

“He was definitely trying to signal that he was stuck,” TikTok user terriem89 captioned the clip.

Despite the uncomfortable position, the R&B singer continued to sing into his microphone. In between his lines, Brown was seen looking off stage, possibly towards a crew member, appearing annoyed by the situation.

Since nothing could be done at that point, the “Superhero” singer decided to take advantage of the situation and started dancing while hanging above the crowd, singing his ballad.

“I’m so sorry but he seems to have just accepted that he’s stuck and started vibrating a bit until Paw Patrol came to the rescueπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚,” commented one fan on TikTok.

“Imagine the chaos going on backstage, try to find a ladder,” wrote another, also adding a string of smiling emojis.

In a subsequent video posted by the same TikTok user, terriem89 showed crew members carrying a large ladder on stage to help the singer keep his balance as he unhooked the wires from his waist.

After Brown fell, he still appeared to be angry about the way the situation was handled as he looked into the eyes of the extra crew backstage. Still, he didn’t miss a beat as he continued to sing and interact with his fans in the crowd.
