In an interview with GQ released in September, Evans reiterated his “never say never” attitude.

“It was such a wonderful experience,” he said of his time in the MCU. “It’s something I’m very proud of… And I wouldn’t want an eye sore if it seemed like a cash grab or if it didn’t live up to expectations or if it just seemed unrelated to that original thing. So there’s no time.”

During the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo in April, Evans said he’s “sure” there are more Steve Rogers stories to tell.

But, Wrap reports that he added at the time, “I just don’t want to mess it up in any way, and I was a part of something that was so special in that special time period and in a way it really worked out so well… As much as being associated with that role and I like to tell those stories and work with those people, right now it’s not very good for me.”
