Chris Rock Is Facing Backlash After He Made Remark About Nicole Brown Simpson

Chris Rock, the American comedian, has come under fire on social media after making a provocative remark about Nicole Brown Simpson when explaining why he was denied the chance to host next year’s Oscars, five months after his notorious physical incident with Will Smith. On Aug. 28, during a performance in Phoenix, Arizona, the 57-year-old entertainer compared returning to host the 2023 Oscars to OJ Simpson’s late wife Nicole Brown Simpson returning to the Italian restaurant where she was killed.

According to the Arizona Republic, the comic reportedly revealed that he “simply” turned down the Super Bowl ad. After word of his alleged prank spread, multiple social media users slammed the comic for his offensive quip.

OJ Simpson’s second wife was Nicole Brown Simpson.

Nicole Brown Simpson was born on May 19, 1959 to an American father and a German mother. Her family immigrated to California after she was born in Frankfurt, Germany. Nicole started working as a waitress at The Daisy in Beverly Hills when she was 18 years old. There she met her future husband, former NFL star OJ Simpson. Not long after that, they started dating and fell in love. OJ Simpson married Nicole Brown Simpson in 1985 after divorcing his first wife, Marguerite Whitley, in 1979. They have two children, a girl named Sydney and a boy named Justin. However, their passion was short-lived, and she filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences”. According to many accounts, OJ was beating Nicole and their friends were helping the couple reconcile.

On June 12, 1994, Nicole was enjoying dinner with her family and friends at the Mezzaluna restaurant after seeing her daughter’s dance performance. Her waiter friend Ronald Goldman offered to leave her mother’s sunglasses with Nicole, which she had forgotten on her way out. A few hours later, on June 13, the remains of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were discovered in their home in Los Angeles. Brown was stabbed seven times in the scalp, neck and throat, nearly severing her head, according to the autopsy report.

When authorities went to OJ Simpson’s residence to report him, they discovered a bloody glove and a white Ford Bronco covered in blood. They subsequently discovered another glove on his property that is connected to the double murder. OJ was not home because he traveled to Chicago. The former NFL star was ordered by the police to surrender on June 17, but he left in another White Bronco.

OJ surrendered after a low-speed chase and a brief standoff with police. He was found with a revolver, $9,000 in cash, a passport and a fake moustache. The OJ Simpson murder trial became one of the most prominent events in the United States, and the former NFL star was defended by Robert Shapiro, Johnnie Cochran and Kim Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian. OJ Simpson was acquitted in October 1995 after eight months of a bitter trial. In 1997, a judge awarded the Brown and Goldman families $33.5 million in damages, and OJ was found “responsible” for the murders.

Nicole Brown Simpson was literally a victim of domestic violence and murdered. Now this degenerate is mocking another woman again. And a deceased woman!

And I’m glad I supported Will Smith because he slapped him! https://t.co/3KjpOSSn2O
