Chrissy Teigen, the popular model and television personality, recently announced the birth of her third child with husband John Legend on January 13, 2023. John announced the news in a private ceremony, saying it was a “beautiful day” and that despite being unable to to sleep, he feels better after a long stay in the hospital. Those in attendance immediately shared the news on social media, expressing their joy for the couple.
Chrissy and John had been expecting their child for some time. In an interview with People last year, John said that everyone is thrilled and that his two older children are old enough to understand what’s going on and can’t wait to get their new brother.
Chrissy previously said the couple chose IVF and received positive news after nine days. Post she said:
“They knew that I was going to transfer, that we were going to put this egg in my mother’s tummy. So they understood from the beginning and they knew there was a risk that it wouldn’t work because it had already happened.”
Chrissy said her children were thrilled and that this would be their longest pregnancy when she announced her pregnancy in August 2022.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been married since 2013.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend first met in 2006 while filming Legend’s music video, Stereo. Teigen said in an interview with Cosmopolitan that they got back together in 2014. The two have stayed in touch for a long time, and Legend has been seen on the red carpet at several events with other ladies. Teigen noted in an interview with Cosmopolitan:
“For a while, I let him be what he is. The worst thing you can do is try to shut someone down like that early and then make them think, ‘There’s a lot more out there. I was sober for a long time.’ I never asked, ‘Who are we?’ Marriage was never my goal because I was never a typical person. I’m really relieved to be with him.”
Kanye West and Stevie Wonder were among the celebrities who attended the couple’s wedding in 2013. They welcomed daughter Luna in April 2016 and son Miles in May 2018. Legend said in an interview with Today in 2018 that he and Teigen appreciate each other and enjoy each other. in each other’s presence. Pregnancy issues caused Chrissy Teigen and John Legend to lose their third child in 2020. Teigen also shared several hospital photos and said she had to make some tough decisions after finding out the baby wasn’t going to survive.
She stated:
“Somewhere along the way it became obvious that he wasn’t going to survive and neither was I going to survive unless medical attention was given.”
Chrissy Teigen revealed in a blog post a few weeks before her loss that she was forced into labor at 20 weeks after being diagnosed with a partial placental abruption. She said that her bleeding worsened and she was admitted to the hospital. Doctors tried blood transfusions, but they did not have much effect on the condition. Teigen said her loss was the abortion conference after Roe v. Wade was overturned.
