Katie Price panto slashes ticket prices days into show run after fans slammed ‘embarrassing’ performance

KATIE Price’s panto organizers have slashed ticket prices after she received harsh criticism from some audience members.

The former glamor model is playing the Wicked Fairy Carabossa in Sleeping Beauty this Christmas and will reportedly receive £60,000 for the honour.

But this week, Katie was branded a “disgrace” and accused of failing to memorize pantomime dance routines.

Her colleague even claimed that she “learned two of her 25 verses”.

Now Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena has slashed ticket prices for Sleeping Beauty by 25 per cent.

In a post on the official Facebook page, the organizers said: “We invite all lovers of fairy tales!

“Sleeping Beauty has awoken at the M&S Bank Arena and is spinning a magical Christmas adventure for the whole family!

“For a limited time, get a 25% discount on selected shows.*

“Book your tickets now and escape to a world where dreams come true (and curses are broken with true love’s kiss!)”

Sleeping Beauty opened its doors last Saturday and runs in the Arena until December 30.

Katie previously said: “I’m so excited to be performing in Liverpool. I love this city and can’t wait to take my kids with me and make some amazing memories.”

But despite her efforts, some audience members had nasty things to say about the mum-of-five.

A video of her dancing outside of the premiere time drew critical comments from fans online.

“Maybe, just maybe Katie Price could learn the routines.

“It was an absolute disgrace. It’s clear to see how hard the rest of the cast have worked .. it’s quite clear that he thinks he can pull it off with no effort!!!”

Another groaned: “lol you hardly had words, you didn’t practice and bippo played you from the stage. Well done, you can’t sing or act – it must be so embarrassing for your family.”

However, others jumped to Katie’s defense – with one fan even declaring her an “icon”.

Another said: “Oh wow! You were great, we loved it. Totally confident and witty! We even shouted at the end of the opening night telling you we love you!”

Despite mixed reviews, Katie showed true Christmas spirit by accompanying her panto co-stars on a trip to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

The star wore her full Carabosse costume as she joined the underprivileged children singing festive carols.

Commenting on footage of the visit, one person wrote on Facebook: “How wonderful x.”

Meanwhile, Katie was joined in Liverpool by her current boyfriend Carl Woods.

The pair looked very much together as they went to McDonald’s during a break from her panto appearances.
