Chrissy Teigen Opens Up About Aging and Seeing 'Angels': 'I See Little Silver Pieces Falling Everywhere'

Chrissy Teigen is begging her fans not to ignore the signs of aging.

On Tuesday, August 13, Cravings The cookbook author, 38, opened up about some possible health issues on her Instagram Stories, joking that she ignored her blurry vision and attributed the “silver coins” she saw to angels.

Teigen explained that she hadn’t seen her therapist in four or five weeks due to recent travel, telling her followers, “I’ve probably never gone this long without seeing him.”

She added that she went to an appointment on Sunday, August 11, where she told her therapist that she had been “doing a lot of sewing and a lot of painting.”

Teigen told her followers that she’s been having “a lot of eye problems” lately, and sometimes it feels like she has a “thick film” on her eyes, adding that she’s had “blurry” vision, especially in the mornings.

“I also have dryness around my eyes, and I really notice it when I’m painting or sewing, mostly,” the TV personality continued.

“I said that sometimes when I blink, when I open my eyes again I see sparkles … little silver pieces falling everywhere,” Teigen continued, before adding, “I told him I was convinced they were angels.”

“I’m like, ‘Yeah, every time I blink and see all those sparkles, that’s an angel watching over me,'” she said with a laugh.

Teigen then revealed that her therapist had told her to seek medical advice regarding her eye problems.

“He looks at me and says, ‘You should probably go to the hospital [or] eye doctor and look at this,’ she said in the clip.

“I’m so rooted in Los Angeles, I’m like, ‘Oh no, my bad eyesight…what could be a brain tumor are angels,'” Teigen added, telling her followers, “Anyway, the lesson here is don’t become so hippy-dippy that you mistake the obvious signs of aging, loss of sight, for angels.”

The news about Teigen’s health came after she showed off her surgical scars in another snap shared on Tuesday as she and her husband John Legend, 45, went out on a date night.

Teigen said while wearing a plunging black dress: “Date night, very rare, but it happens … tits out, scars out.”

She said to the camera: “Wear a body chain, it kind of hides it,” showing off the glittering gold accessory.

Teigen has spoken openly about her past surgeries. In January, she revealed that she had three nipples while performing Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“They got me, put me in and took me out. I don’t like them out,” confirmed Teigen at the time, who first revealed that she had breast implants in 2020.
