Christina Hall’s Estranged Husband Josh Has Seemingly Left California for Tennessee amid Their Divorce

Josh Hall appears to have moved on nearly three months after filing for divorce from HGTV star Christina Hall.

The real estate professional, 44, updated the location on his Instagram bio to Leipers Fork, Tenn., a rural village not far from downtown Franklin in Williamson County.

In early August, Josh moved out of the $12 million Newport Beach, California mansion he and Christina shared. He was seen packing belongings which included his motorcycles, a vintage Chevelle and a vintage DeLorean.

Josh is no stranger to Tennessee, having spent time there with his now estranged wife throughout their relationship. Since the split, he has been sharing messages from the Nashville and Southern California area on social media.

In February 2021, Christina, 41, bought the farmhouse in Franklin, Tenn., that served as the setting for her HGTV spinoff Christina in the countryside. In December of that year, she also purchased an apartment in downtown Nashville as an income property. (The latter has since become a point of financial contention in their split.)

The Christina on the Coast star and a former realtor from Austin, Texas began dating around March 2021 and announced their relationship in July. They revealed they were getting married in April 2022 and celebrated with an oceanfront wedding in Maui in November 2022.

Divorce documents from both spouses confirmed that they had in fact tied the knot six months before breaking the news, after secretly tying the knot in a private court ceremony in October 2021.

Christina lives mostly in Southern California, where her first husband Tarek El Moussa — with whom she shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9 — also lives. Her second husband Ant Anstead — with whom she shares son Hudson, 5 — spends time between counties Orange and his native Britain

In 2023, Christina told The Associated Press that there was a “misconception” that she and Josh were spending more time at the Franklin vacation home than they really were.

“When we go there, we mostly cook at home, we have silence and we will be on our property,” she said, adding that her family was “getting ready” to film there.

At the premiere of the series in 2023 Christina in the countrysidespinoff for Kristina on the shore, Christina said she felt like “in a dream” in her second home.

“Until now, Tennessee has always been a quick getaway, but with each trip I love it more and more,” she said. “I’m always looking for more reasons to spend time here.”

Christina and Josh bought a home in Newport Beach in May 2022 shortly after she sold her former property in Dana Point, California for $11 million.

Christina shared a view from her new home on Instagram in June 2022, writing: “”Home sweet home. No furniture, no decor, just love,” with a photo of the couple in an embrace.

Josh cited “irreconcilable differences” and sought spousal support from the HGTV star in the July 15 divorce filing after nearly three years of marriage.

Christina responded with her own legal filing on July 24, in which she asked that neither spouse be allowed to seek child support and listed the properties at issue in the divorce — including a Newport Beach mansion and properties in Nashville.

Josh recently celebrated his first birthday since the split with a trip to Big Sur, California. In an Instagram photo he shared on September 19, he stood in front of a lush backdrop that included a view of the Pacific Ocean.

“Birthdays here never disappoint.. #44,” he captioned the post.
