Christine Baranski and Lily Cowles made a golden return to the red carpet.
The The Gilded Age star and her actress daughter — who starred in films including Before the war and the latest Albany Road – went out for a rare joint outing in honor of the 2024 Emmy Awards.
On September 15, the couple attended the awards show at LA’s Peacock Theater in matching Oscar de la Renta gowns styled by Cristina Ehrlich. Later in the night, they attended the Emmy After Party hosted by HBO and Max.

The Best Style Moments at the 2024 Emmy Awards
Baranski — who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for The Gilded Age – wore a custom gold gown that was made with metallic threads woven into an organza fabric, according to the fashion house. The bespoke piece also featured elegant off-the-shoulder sleeves and a floral pattern down the skirt.
The dress was accessorized with red Roger Viviver heels and a clutch, both of which matched her dark red lips. Baranski blew out his hair into a voluminous bob.
Cowles wore a sleeveless watercolor print dress with a flowing skirt, silver Gianvito Rossi heels, gold earrings and a large gemstone ring (her bangle was Lionel Geneste and Vak Jewels). She had her hair up in a smooth bun with bangs on the side.

The cutest family moments on the 2024 Emmys red carpet
The last time the duo walked the red carpet together was in September 2015 at the HBO Emmy party. A year before that, they attended the Emmys in modest black and navy blue dresses.
Baranski and Cowles weren’t the only members of the glam family at this year’s show.
Hosts Dan Levy and Eugene Levy were a stylish duo in their suits. George Lopez brought his daughter Mayan as his plus one, while Taylor Zakhar Perez invited his mom, Antoinette Zakhar, to the star-studded ceremony.
