Ciara Celebrates Progress in Her Weight Loss Journey to Lose 70 Lbs.: 'Scale Moved A Little'

Ciara celebrates small victories in her weight loss journey.

On May 18, the 38-year-old singer posted a series of photos on Instagram showing the progress she’s making after revealing she was trying to lose weight as a child.

“Lil Dump God…The scales have moved a little…so I’ll call her W! :)” she wrote.

Along with selfies of her and her daughter Amore Princess, the post included a photo of her weighing in at 178 lbs. and a summary of her healthy breakfast.

The update comes after the “And I” singer posted another photo last month where she tipped the scales at 181 lbs. At the time, she also included a selfie of herself in a dance studio giving a thumbs up next to a viral motivational water bottle.

On April 13, Ciara announced that she was preparing to hit the stage again, preparing for her first tour since welcoming her daughter with husband Russell Wilson in December.

The Grammy winner posted a photo of herself in the gym on Instagram, writing that she was “trying to lose 70 kg. announce the baby, prepare to perform and tour while breastfeeding and running my business.”

“Shout out to all my moms coming in, I see you!” she added “ToughSh$t.

Ciara received tons of messages of support from her fellow stars in the comments section, including Gabrielle Union, Gwen Stefani and Lisa Leslie.

“I was just on tour while breastfeeding 🫶🏽 it’s challenging but you got this ❤️,” wrote Leona Lewis while Peloton’s Ally Love commented, “Sister you’ve done it before and you can do it again. I bet on YOU! 🫶🏽”
