THIS is the moment officers raided a house looking for fugitive Abdul Ezedi – and discovered a key piece of evidence.
Ezedi, 35, from Newcastle, is still at large after allegedly dousing a mother and her young children with a corrosive alkaline liquid on Wednesday.

He also allegedly tried to run over the woman before slamming her three-year-old daughter to the ground twice “like a rag doll.”
Searches were carried out at two houses in East London and three in Newcastle.
Police today released footage of officers entering a house in Newcastle where empty containers were found with corrosive warnings on the labels.
Police say forensic tests are “currently underway” to determine whether the containers contained the substance used in the attack.
Commander Jon Savell said: “Abdul Ezedi was last seen at King’s Cross tube station at 9pm on Wednesday January 31, where he boarded a southbound Victoria Line train.
“The police investigation to determine his further movement and finally locate him continues at a pace.
“I want to thank everyone who contacted the police and shared what they knew.
“We have received dozens of calls with information, including possible sightings, and every single piece of information has been recorded and is part of our ongoing investigation.
“I can assure the public that my colleagues and I are fully committed to using all available tools and tactics for as long as necessary to find Abdul Ezedi.
“Today I call on the public to remain vigilant and to contact the police immediately if they have seen Ezedi or have information about him.
“I would also like to reiterate that if you see Ezedi, you should call 999 immediately. He should NOT be approached.”
One of Ezedi’s relatives has now told Sky News that the suspect was in a relationship with his mother.
The relative said that they would hand Ezedi over to the police themselves if they had to.
It comes after Ezedi’s distraught brother Hassan called on the chemical attack suspect to surrender.
Hassan, 21, spoke out after riot police in protective suits searched his home in east London at 2am yesterday.
The early morning operation was one of five raids carried out in London and Newcastle to find Ezedi.
Hassan told The Sun: “If I had known where he was, I would have reported him for what he did.
“I don’t know if he’s alive or where he is now, I saw him briefly last week.
“He didn’t live with me. He was in Newcastle.”
Ezedi is believed to have tracked his victim to the two-star Clapham South Belvedere Hotel, where the council put her up with her daughters, aged three and eight.
Citizens and police officers were also burnt while coming to the aid of the family.
A 22-year-old man who had been staying at the Belvedere Hotel for three months said he saw a woman run to reception and scream for help after the gruesome attack.
Pursuing officers are urging people not to approach the “dangerous” fugitive Ezedi.
A ‘DANGEROUS’ FUGITIVE
It has now been revealed that Ezedi arrived in the UK in a lorry and did not claim asylum.
However, he then converted to Christianity and was accepted on the third attempt with a priest as a character witness.
Ezedi pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault and one count of exposure before being granted asylum, the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed.
He was sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court on 9 January 2018 to nine weeks in prison suspended for two years for sexual assault.
He was given a 36-week prison sentence for the exposure, to be served consecutively, which was also suspended for two years.

What were Ezedi’s last known movements?
Chase officers say Ezedi’s car was seen in Newcastle at a quarter past midnight on Wednesday.
By 6.30am the car was seen traveling to Tooting, south west London.
A further sighting of his car was confirmed in Croydon at 16:30 and Ezedi was seen driving in Streatham at 19:00.
The attack on the 31-year-old woman and her daughters, aged three and eight, happened in Lessar Avenue, Clapham at 7.25pm that night.
The mother is believed to be known to Ezedi, police said.
Ezedi fled in his car, but it crashed nearby. After that, he left the vehicle and ran away.
At 7.33pm Ezedi boarded a northbound train at Clapham South tube station.
Ezedi got off at King’s Cross shortly before 8 p.m.
He was seen on CCTV leaving Tesco Express at 21 Caledonian Road, near King’s Cross, and turning right.
The suspect had significant facial injuries and is believed to have purchased a bottle of water.
Ezedi re-entered King’s Cross tube station at 21:00 and boarded a southbound train on the Victoria line.
The suspect has not been seen since.
Does Ezedi have a criminal record?
In 2018, Ezedi was convicted of a sexual offense and given a suspended sentence at Newcastle Crown Court.
The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that he was convicted on January 9 that year after pleading guilty to one count of sexual assault and one count of exposure.
He was entered in the Register of Sex Offenders for 10 years.
Why did Ezedi get asylum in Great Britain?
Ezedi was granted asylum in 2020 on the third attempt – after being convicted of a sexual offence.
He allegedly arrived in the UK on the back of a lorry in 2016 and claimed to have converted to Christianity to support his asylum bid.
The priest told the Telegraph that Ezedi had converted to Christianity and was “fully committed” to his new faith.
What happened to Ezedi’s face?
CCTV from Wednesday evening shows Ezedi with what police described as very “significant injuries to the right side of his face”.
Met Police Commander Jon Savell addressed him directly, saying: “Abdul, you’ve obviously got some very significant injuries.
“We’ve seen the pictures. You need medical attention, so do the right thing and surrender.”
