CLAT 2024 Registration in progress
CLAT 2024: The application process for the Common Law entrance exam is underway. Candidates can fill the CLAT 2024 registration form online till November 3. Candidates seeking admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in National Law Universities (NLUs) can apply for CLAT 2024 at the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
CLAT registration fee is Rs. 4000 for general category candidates and Rs. 3500 for SC, ST and BPL candidates. Additionally, candidates will have to pay Rs. 500 for questionnaires. Applicants will also need to fill in the preferences for the NLU they are seeking admission to. A consortium of NLUs will conduct CLAT 2024 from 2 to 4 pm on December 3.

How to apply for CLAT 2024?
Candidates have to go through the eligibility criteria before filling the CLAT registration form. There is no upper age limit for both exams. They can go through the steps to know how to fill the CLAT application form:
Step 1: Go to the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in
Step 2: On the home page, click on the CLAT 2024 registration link
Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen
Step 4: Enter all required information and register
Step 5: Sign in using your mobile number and password
Step 6: Fill the form, upload the documents and pay the fees
Step 7: Submit the form and print it for future reference
Revised Syllabus for CLAT 2024
The syllabus of CLAT has also been revised for this year. Candidates will have to answer 120 questions in two hours. Previously, candidates had to answer 150 questions. UG CLAT 2024 will be divided into five sections: English, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques.
The first four sections will have 450 word passages that students must read to attempt multiple choice questions. The Quantitative Techniques section will contain short sets of facts or propositions or textual representations of numerical information, followed by a series of MCQs.
PG CLAT will have 120 questions dealing with topics such as constitutional law, case law, contract law, administrative law, torts, family law, criminal law, property law, company law, public international law, tax law, environmental law and labor and industrial law. Candidates will receive one point for each correct answer, while 25 points will be deducted for each wrong answer.
