Cliff Fields News

The famous barefoot wrestler dubbed “Britain’s Toughest Man” was knocked out twice by the 6’7″ man. Lenny McLean is said to have been involved in over 3,000 fights in his lifetime and is said to be associated with organized crime He earned the nickname “toughest man” in the nation thanks to his character, but he even once found himself up against a match.

Legendary Clubland fighter Manny Clark, who also trained with Lenny, revealed to the Daily Star that his father, George, witnessed his titanic fights with Cliff Fields. My dad said the first time Cliff beat Lenny the crowd yelled “lucky punch” so in the rematch Cliff stood up and let Lenny punch him in the face for four rounds.

Cliff threw about six punches before knocking out Lenny. Cliff’s face had enlarged and was now covered in blood. Distinguish between Cliff, who weighed 19,100 tons, and Lenny, a barefoot wrestler. Cliff was a professional boxer.

Cliff bravely stood up to Lenny, despite most people being terrified of the gangster who had previously feuded with the Kray twins, Ronnie Biggs and Charles Bronson. Lenny was a huge man with a booming voice that could instantly undermine most men’s confidence, Manny remembered.

Lenny suffered special losses in his battle with Cliff at the Finsbury Park Rainbow. After losing a £15,000 stake in his own achievement, he had to appear before a London bankruptcy court. Lenny lost his job due to the controversy and his bank manager, who allegedly encouraged gambling, went bankrupt with debts of £8,530.

The fighter’s life has been marked by dramatic ups and downs, including when he was charged with the murder of Gary Humphries, a man who caused a riot at London’s Hippodrome club by stripping and urinating on club patrons.

Humphries was kicked out by Lenny and was discovered dead a short time later. Manny points out that Humphries was also taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police after being taken from the club, so it was impossible to know when or who inflicted his injuries. Lenny ended up receiving an 18-month prison sentence after being convicted of a GBH misdemeanor.

Manny remembers an incident that showed Lenny had fatherly concerns buried beneath his gruff, often intimidating demeanor. Immediately after his release, Lenny returned to work at the gates of London clubs. “I told Lenny ‘I’m hungry’ while he was standing outside the Gas Club one night,” Manny recalled.
