Clint Eastwood Turns 94 — Here's Everything the Oscar Winner Is Keeping Busy With: 'He's a Badass'

Clint Eastwood celebrates another year around the sun.

The Oscar winner turns 94 on Friday, May 31, and remains a towering presence in Hollywood.

The actor and director made a rare public appearance on March 24 at the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Reasons for Hope event in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif., where Dr. Jane Goodall spoke.

Eastwood, who was once the mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, was seen sitting with the famous anthropologist in a photo from the event released in April.

Eastwood’s family is still enjoying new milestones after his birthday. His youngest daughter Morgan, 27, announced on Instagram on May 23 that she is expecting her first child with fiance Tanner Koopmans.

Besides Morgan, i Dirty Harry the star has seven more children; Laurie Murray, 69, Kimber Lynn Eastwood, 59, Kyle Eastwood, 56, Alison Eastwood, 52, Scott Eastwood, 38, Kathryn Eastwood, 36 and Francesca Eastwood, 30.

Eastwood was married twice, first to Maggie Johnson, from 1953 to 1984; then Dina Ruiz in 1996. She filed for divorce from Eastwood in 2014; he has been dating Christina Sander since 2015, when she joined him at the Oscars that year.

The star has been in the news in recent months due to multiple cases of fake news spreading about him online. In April, Eastwood’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE that he does not have any official social media accounts, in response to an account on X that used his name and a likeness with a verified checkmark on its profile.

The following month, PEOPLE confirmed that Eastwood did not return his Oscar statuettes to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences after a meme circulated on social media claiming he was giving up the trophy as a political protest.

Back in November, Eastwood was spotted on the set of his next film Juror no. 2which is his first directorial effort since 2021 Macho cries.

The new film does not yet have a release date, nor does Eastwood himself appear in it. Juror no. 2The cast includes Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, Gabriel Basso, Zoey Deutch, Chris Messina, Leslie Bibb and Kiefer Sutherland.

“You think you’re going to get some tough guy, and he’s totally gentle and calm and funny and makes jokes, and a lot of the crew… [for example]the woman who provides craft services has been with him for 22 years,” Messina, 49, told PEOPLE about working with Eastwood back in December.

“He was great. I really loved him,” Messina added. “Ninety-three years old and totally with it, great notes, on his feet behind the camera. He’s badass.”
