Budweiser’s iconic Clydesdale horses are back in the big game.
In the beer brand’s new spot, “Old-School Delivery,” set to air during the 2024 Super Bowl on Feb. 11, Clydesdale horses work hard to bring Budweiser to a bar in need.
The ad opens with a bird’s-eye view of a city stuck in a blizzard. Bad weather knocks out the power at a local bar, and at the same time the restaurant runs out of Budweiser. It looks like the bar won’t be able to get any more beer due to road closures and a snow forecast until the Budweiser Clydesdales get together to inspire their guards to deliver beer the old-fashioned way.
The commercial continues with two Budweiser workers — one played by a real-life Budweiser wholesaler named Fred Dana — loading a cart full of Budweiser into a cart. The Clydesdales brave the deep snow to deliver plenty of beer to town.

The horses get the long-awaited delivery to the bar with the help of a Labrador retriever, who spots the cart and leads it to a watering hole full of satisfied patrons.
After a successful delivery, the site closes with one of the massive Clydesdale horses sharing a muzzle with a helpful lab.
According to Anheuser-Busch, this new ad marks the 46th appearance of Budweiser Clydesdale ads in the Super Bowl.
“Budweiser has been synonymous with the Super Bowl for decades, and the broadcast continues to be a very special moment for our brand and a cornerstone of our advertising strategy,” Kristina Punwani, head of marketing at Budweiser USA, said in a statement. “This year, we’re thrilled to bring our fans some of the traditional Super Bowl entertainment they know and love from Budweiser: the iconic Clydesdales. We knew there was no better way to showcase Budweiser’s continued commitment to serving its fans than with our biggest celebrities.”

Budweiser welcomed four new Clydesdale horses into the family in January 2023. The animals helped Anheuser-Busch celebrate last year’s Super Bowl by attending the company’s first Super Bowl viewing party held at Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Missouri. Warm Springs Ranch is the official breeding facility for Budweiser Clydesdales.

Budweiser’s Super Bowl commercial, “Old-School Delivery,” will air during the 2024 Super Bowl on February 11. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS at 6:30 pm ET.
