Colin Farrell Compares His Transformation in The Penguin to a 'Beautiful Puppet': 'I Got to Animate It'

Colin Farrell doesn’t mind being followed.

During an interview on Sirius XM’s The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunninghampraised the Oscar-nominated actor Penguinthe work of his make-up department to turn him into a “puppet” that he was able to animate.

Farrell, 47, called the makeup in the upcoming Max series “remarkable stuff” and credited artist Mike Marino as the mastermind behind Penguin’s aesthetic.

“He created a puppet, and I’m a puppet, that’s how I imagine it. It feels like a description of what happened on the nose,” explained the actor. “He created this beautiful puppet and I got to animate it, and it was a lot of fun.”
