Police have not identified any accused, but police have registered an FIR against Morbi bridge repair agency and alleged in the FIR that repair agency Oreva Group (Ajanta Manufacturing Private Limited) opened the bridge for visitors without quality check or load-bearing test.

The police said

“It is an act of negligence because the visitors died. It seems that the act was committed knowingly. The accused have committed an offense under the IPC section for premeditated murder, an offense capable of causing death and abetment.”

For investigation and questioning, the police detained three people.
