Their company is known for reasonable prices; many of their items cost between $5 and $20, and their partnerships are determined by the latest social media trends. They also use cruelty-free makeup. The company also owns the skincare line Fourth Ray Beauty and related brand Sol Body focused on body makeup. ColourPop is a make-up beauty award winner from OK! As an offshoot of their father’s makeup company Spatz Laboratories, which produced cosmetic products for other brands, siblings Laura and John Nelson founded Seed Beauty. Parent company Seed Beauty, which previously owned Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty, owns the ColourPop Cosmetics brand. The company started as an online retailer before growing to wholesale to retail stores. In 2017, Sephora and the brand teamed up for the first time in retail. With media brands such as Disney and Sanrio, as well as other assets such as Match.com and Halo Top Creamery, ColourPop has worked on collections together. ColourPop is known for product collaborations with many social media and YouTube personalities, such as Jenn Im, Karrueche Tran, Zoella, Becky G, Alexis Ren and Isabelle Fuhrman.
