Connie Kalitta Career
In the 1950s and 1960s, Connie Kalitta had a successful drag racing career, winning numerous races and setting speed and elapsed time records. In the 1960s, he stopped racing and switched to team ownership, establishing Kalitta Motorsports. The team has since won numerous NHRA competitions and titles in a variety of drag racing classifications. In 2009, Kalitta was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in recognition of his achievements in the sport.
