Cooper Flagg's Mom Kelly Is Quietly the Donna Kelce of NCAA Basketball for Her Twin Sons (Exclusive)

Kelly Flagg takes over where Donna Kelce stopped.

Before Jason Kelce withdrew from NFL, Donna, 72, she became known for his dedication to supporting the former Eagles star when he and his brother Travis played for different teams – sometimes attending games in several cities on the same day in his iconic Split Jersey.

Kelly – Kelly – Mom Basketball Stars Cooper Flagg and his twin brother, Ace, who plays for his Alma Mater, the University of Maine – withdraws a double duty to support his sons’ dreams.

By promoting her partnership with Dr. Scholl, Kelly tells people that she needs all the support she can get during the basketball season. “Moms like me, run from game to game, go through the airports trying to catch flights to different cities and sometimes more than one of the day,” she says.

Mother Troy, who shares her older son with her husband Ralph, recalls one day of the game, especially why she pulled out a top basketball mom. “Cooper’s Twin, Ace, played the game on the same day. I flew in the early morning in Atlanta to attend Cooper’s game at Georgia Tech,” she shares.

“They played at noon,” Kelly continued, “and immediately after the game, I returned to the flight to Greensboro to attend Ace’s game that night. And yes, Dr. Scholla’s support was quite key that day.”

Kelly is a professional when it comes to navigating the basketball season and even other moms ask for planning tips. “I know some moms this year were like, ‘What? I haven’t booked a flight yet, it’s so expensive, “and I was like,” You should have done it like me, three months ago, “he says.

Kelly adds, “I took the whole schedule, because I had Ace’s schedule, and so the first thing I did was somehow in putting all the games to see where I would be and where I should come, and also see what overlap.”

Fortunately, on days when Kelly can’t be in two places at once or if she does not allow her to catch both sons on the field, she feels “really happy” because of her parents’ support. “My mom and dad stayed with us all season, and so when we had a conflict, we would share time with us,” she shares.

“My father and I went to that Georgia Tech game, and my husband and my mom went to Ace’s game and stayed at Ace in case we didn’t come back in time. We managed to do it, but it was pretty close,” Kelly continues.

Cooper and Duke Blue Devils will host mountaineers Mount Saint Mary during the first round of the NCAA Tournament (aka March Madness) on Friday, March 21 at 2:50 pm.
