Two XL dogs have been shot 19 times as the police intervened an attack on the pensioners.
The cops also seized a smaller dog after the victim was angry as he walked on a residential street.

The dog fled the Warrington estate at 6.40pm yesterday before he pulled the 84-year-old man into the garden.
Officers made 19 shots at two dogs, suspected of XL Bully before they caught a third, smaller dog.
One dog was destroyed by firearm officials outside the property, while the other was destroyed from the inside.
Chief police officer Mark Roberts of Cheshire police spoke of a “terrible attack” before portraying dogs as “weapon”.
He continued, “Their physical attributes can do so like possessing a filled firearm with a questionable security focus.
“The great size and frenzy of these animals mean that our firearm officers had to drop 19 blows into them – who all hit their goals – to bring the incident to the conclusion and ensure the public safety.”
The victim remains in a critical but stable condition in the hospital.
The 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion that she had a dog dangerously out of control, causing serious injuries.
It remains in custody and is considered to help official inquiries.
Officers call anyone with information to report while trying to find a 40-year-old major in connection.
Chief police officer Mark Roberts added: “This was an innocent man who simply walked down the street when he was terribly attacked by a suspicious unregistered XL Bully.

“While the victim now receives the treatment he needs, there is no doubt that this incident will affect him for the rest of his life.
“The danger to the public that these dogs represent is well known, which is why Cheshire Constabulary was extremely proactive in implementing new regulations.
“So far, we have already removed more than 100 xl abusers from Cheshire streets, and we are devoted to doing everything we can to ensure that those who are not in accordance with the new regulations are responsible.”
Anyone who has any information is required to contact Cheshire police at 101.
This is followed by a wide achievement of XL Bully Ban, which was performed in early 2024.
