Courteney Cox Says She’s Never Been to Jennifer Aniston’s Home Without Smelling This Scent

Courteney Cox is greeted by a familiar scent whenever she visits her friend Jennifer Aniston.

The actress, 60, revealed during an interview on Inc. 5000 45th Annual Conference & Gala to her Friends costar favors a particular product from HomeCourt, the home care line launched by Cox in 2022.

“Jennifer is obsessed with Cece’s scent,” Cox said. “I’ve never been in her house without smelling a Cece candle as soon as you walk in. And I love it.”

Cox insists that Aniston doesn’t just light candles when she comes over, explaining that her longtime friend is honest about her taste.

“She’s the kind of person you can say, ‘No, I don’t like her,'” she says.

Cece, a blend of white leather, cardamom, cedar wood, smoke and cinnamon, is a signature scent in Cox’s line. The description on Homeourt’s site calls it “down-to-earth, mysterious and addictive.”

When the line launched, she told PEOPLE that the scent was “literally an oil that I wear like my perfume.”

“You’re at home so much now that I thought, ‘Why don’t you make your home as important as you make yourself, your body, your face?'” the actress added at the time, saying the line is “really beauty products for home.”

“I have two in my kitchen,” she continued. “Every bathroom has one. I put one by the bed.”

The Friends The alum famously played neat freak Monica Geller, roommate of Aniston’s Rachel Green, and admitted she shares her character’s passion for cleaning and organizing.

“Anyone who knows me, any of my friends, knows that I just love things that are organized and neat and clean, and I can’t help it,” she told PEOPLE last month. “I was born like this and it is very important to me. One of the things that makes me happy is having a really clean environment.”

But while Cox likes to tidy up, it’s not necessarily a trait she passed on.

The actress told PEOPLE that her daughter Coco Arquette, 20, “doesn’t” share her passion for organizing and cleaning.

“Every once in a while she’ll say, ‘Mommy, I cleaned my room and I feel so good.’ And I say, ‘That’s a feeling you can have all the time,’ but it just doesn’t happen,” Cox says.

“She’s getting older and living on her own, and she’s proud of it, which I think is a good thing,” Cox adds. “But no, I don’t think she has my gene in the same way that I don’t have hers. Listen, she’s a great singer. She is a great writer. She has so many qualities that I don’t have, so that’s fine.”
