Creamy Dressing Spills on Michigan Highway After Semi-Truck Hits a Bridge

One highway in Michigan experienced a real spice mess.

On Aug. 20, a semi truck crashed into a bridge on Interstate 94 in Macomb County, Michigan, spilling jugs of cream topping onto the highway, a state police spokesman confirmed to PEOPLE.

The Michigan Department of Transportation also shared the news on X.

“Attention – EB 94 at 9 miles, right lane only open due to semi collision with bridge with debris strewn across road. Unknown crew to clear crash,” the post said.

Aerial footage from Detroit’s Local 4 WDIV shows the white creamy dressing lining the side of the road as large jugs of multiple condiments are haphazardly scattered around.

A Michigan State Police spokesman told PEOPLE that no one was injured in the crash.

A truck accident spills cheese on the highway causing a “Nacho Ordinary” traffic jam

Last August, a similar situation occurred on a highway in Arkansas when nacho cheese spilled onto Interstate 30 after an accident involving a semi-truck, PEOPLE confirmed at the time.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation initially reported the unexpected mess on Facebook.

“Taco Tuesday, anyone?” the inscription read. “A truck carrying cans of nacho cheese spilled today on I-30 west near Prescott. Everything is now clear and traffic is flowing.”

The post was paired with images of the spill, including close-up shots showing hundreds of cans leaking cheese.

An overturned truck was seen in the background of the mess, while another photo showed a bird’s-eye view of the highway with all the cans pushed aside. Streaks of cheese were very visible on the road.

In 2022, there have been several food spills from highways across the US. In September of that year, a semitrailer carrying Coors Light crates crashed on Interstate 75 near Tampa, spilling beer cans everywhere.

A truck carrying Bertolli alfredo sauce also spilled over a highway in Memphis, and a vehicle carrying tomatoes crashed and dumped hundreds of pounds of tomatoes onto a highway in California.
