Cuba Gooding Jr. Accused of Sexually Assaulting Producer Lil Rod on Sean 'Diddy' Combs's Yacht: Lawsuit

Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr., who filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs in February, accuses Cuba Gooding Jr. for sexual assault.

Jones, who previously worked as a producer for Combs, 54, alleged in a civil lawsuit in New York federal court last month that Combs sexually harassed, drugged and threatened him for more than a year.

While Gooding, 56, was named in the original filing, the version of the lawsuit amended Monday now names him as a defendant.

In the complaint, Jones claims that the Oscar winner “began touching, groping and caressing [his] legs, upper inner thighs near groin, lower back near buttocks and shoulders” while on a yacht in the US Virgin Islands chartered by Combs in January 2023.

Jones “believes” that Combs was “grooming him to pass on to his friends” when he introduced Jones to Gooding and allegedly “suggested that Cuba should ‘get to know’ Mr. Jones better.”

According to the complaint, Jones was “extremely unpleasant” and “rejected his advances,” but Gooding allegedly “did not stop until Mr. Jones forcefully pushed him away.”

Gooding’s attorney did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Combs’ grown son Justin, his chief of staff Kristina Khorram and Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge are also named as defendants in the updated lawsuit.

In February, when the lawsuit was originally filed, Combs’ attorney, Shawn Holley, said in a statement, “Lil Rod is nothing but a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly seeking unearned pay. His reckless name-dropping of events that are pure fiction and they simply didn’t happen and are nothing more than a transparent attempt to attract headlines.”

“We have overwhelming, irrefutable evidence that his claims are a complete lie,” Holley added at the time. “Our attempts to share this evidence with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those making them.”

This week, federal agents raided two of Combs’ properties, which a Homeland Security Investigations representative told PEOPLE is “part of an ongoing investigation.”

Gooding has faced other separate sexual assault charges in the past. In April 2022, the actor pleaded guilty to one count of groping a woman at a rooftop bar in New York City in 2018. And in June 2023, Gooding settled a 2020 lawsuit against him, in which he was accused of raping a woman twice in 2013.
