Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande look magical!
The Wicked The costars embraced methodical dressing for their upcoming film as they attended the fourth annual Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday (October 19), though they gave their fairytale looks a bit of a contemporary twist.
Erivo, 37, arrived in her first of two looks for the evening wearing a strapless custom Louis Vuitton dress in green — matching the color associated with her character Elphaba in Wicked — with intricate beading and a bubble border.
The actress completed her look with a stack of silver bracelets and rings with green stones, along with matching earrings. She wore shimmery green eyeshadow with brown lips.
Grande, 31, embodied her fairytale princess look Wicked character Glinda the Good Witch — with a twist — while wearing a vintage 1963 Balmain couture dress in a strapless black and white polka dot design, instead of the pink that Glinda is known for. The dress had a bow on the chest, a tight black belt and a wide skirt.

Erivo later switched up her look at the ceremony as she performed in a more form-fitting, contemporary emerald green long-sleeved rhinestone dress. The elegant dress featured an outer layer of sheer fabric, structured shoulders and gathered details on the skirt.
The annual gala welcomed a star-studded guest list, including Salma Hayek, Nicole Kidman, Eva Longoria and Tyler Perry who co-chaired the 2024 gala, while Moreno, 92, Paul Mescal and Quentin Tarantino were honored at the event.

The “thank u, next” singer’s entire outfit was a chic pastel pink Thom Browne look.
Grande channeled her inner Glinda in a mid-length silk satin duchess gown with a single bow around the dropped waist. A matching hair bow tied her style together with white silk gloves. She rounded it off with light pink pointy heels.
