Cyrus Sahukar was born on 6 August 1980 in MHOW, Indore (age 41; as of 2021). He was educated at St Columba’s School in Delhi. He graduated from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Delhi University. Cyrus began acting in theater while still in school. He is also a member of the school band. At the age of 18, Cyrus began working as a VJ and host on MTV.

Cyrus Sahukar began his career as an MTV host and anchor at the age of 18. However, he started acting while still in school. He is part of Bureaucrat Kiran Bedi’s Literacy Mission programme, which organizes theater and educational skills for inmates of Tihar Jail. Cyrus played the role of a bird in Barry John’s play “Harlan and the Sea of Stories,” based on the novel by Salman Rushdie.
At the age of 15, Sahukar performed in his first musical, Thank You for the Music, directed by Stephen Malazzi. After completing music acting, he joined Roshan Abbas and started his career with radio dubbing and songs. Cyrus was also part of Abbas’s producing and directing team on “Starlight Express” and “Graffiti Postcards from School.”
Sahukar hosted his first radio show at the age of 16. The radio program was in Punjabi and titled “Radio Rampage”. At the age of 18, he auditioned for MTV VJ Hunt and won, along with Mini Mathur and Asif Seth.
In 2000, Cyrus hosted the show “MTV Full Faltoo.” It was one of India’s first spoofs of TV shows, movies and commercials; some of the most popular were Sholay, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and the Raiders of the Lost Ark series.
Later, he also hosted “Piddhu The Great” and “Semi Girebaal”, impersonating Navjot Singh Sidhu and Rendezvous With Simi Garewal respectively.

Cyrus Sahukar later hosted MTV’s “Kickass Mornings” and POGO’s “POGO All-Stars.” “Kickass Mornings” is a mockumentary in which he plays nearly 25 characters. Cyrus is also the host of the POGO game show “Hole in the Wall.”

Apart from being a television professional and host, Cyrus Sahukar has also worked in Bollywood films like Om Jai Jagdish, Rang De Basanti, Aisha, Delhi 6 and Love Breakups Zindagi.
Cyrus Sahukar participated in the travel show ‘Kunal and Cyrus’ Escape’ along with Kunal Kapoor. Cyrus and Kunal went on a 10-day mountain trip, driving from Dharamshala to Spiti Valley. Cyrus said in an interview that while filming the show, he felt like they were in Mad Max: Fury Road.
In 2018, Cyrus Sahukar hosted “Elovator Pitch,” which aired on MTV.
In 2019, he appeared in the Amazon Prime web series “Mind The Malhotras” alongside Mini Mathur.
