Doddaalahalli Kempegowda Suresh aka DK Suresh was born in Ramanagara district of Karnataka state in India. According to one source, he was born on Sunday, December 18, 1966 (age 56; as of 2022), and according to another source, he was born on Friday, April 8, 1966 (age 57; as of 2023) . He completed his 12th class in 1985 from Vivekananda College, Bangalore. Later, he became involved in social services and politics.

He is the Vice Chairman of the DKS Charitable Institute Trust, which works to provide clean drinking water to villages facing water scarcity. They have established more than 40 water treatment plants to provide water at a low cost of 10 paise per 1 liter. The trust also helps identify eligible beneficiaries for government benefit programs. In addition, they encourage education in rural areas and give cash rewards to outstanding students.

In September and November 2022, he was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over his donations to Young India, the company that runs the National Herald. He later submitted the documents requested by the CBI.

Lok Sabha suspended

Suresh was suspended from the Lok Sabha on December 21, 2023, for causing disruption to the functioning of the House while protesting against the suspension of a large number of members of the House and attacking a well in the Lok Sabha.
