The physiotherapist is now believed to have become separated from his wife Leanne during a night out and was lost when the tragedy struck.

Micheal, who was also an Irish youth football coach, was on holiday in Magaluf with his wife and their four children, along with other Irish families.

It is understood he was staying at a nearby family resort but became separated from the group and became disoriented.

He then collapsed while crossing Martin Ros Garcia Street.
