Mark Consuelos is shedding his hair for the summer!
The actor sports a brand new hairstyle, showing off the change in the Monday, July 1 episode Living with Kelly and Mark.
“Don’t adjust your TV screens – yes, I got a haircut,” said Consuelos, 53. – It’s like a chinchilla!
“I’ve never rubbed a real chinchilla, but I guess that’s what it feels like,” said his wife and co-host Kelly Ripa, 53, rubbing his head. “We should give everyone in the audience a chance… Look how I’m taking it all for granted, right? I’m taking it all for granted!”
Consuelos went on to note that he cuts his hair “every few years” and has since he and Ripa married 28 years ago. In fact, he flirted with doing it a few weeks ago – Ripa then urged him to hold off on it longer.
But this time, Ripa explained, Consuelos “had no choice” and “had to do it.”
“Yes, I got a job in television,” Consuelos said. “The role in the pilot, and they said, ‘Can you cut it short?’ And I said, ‘How short?’ And they said: ‘Military’.

The Riverdale The alum didn’t elaborate more on the gig, other than clarifying that he’s not playing someone in the military.
“I was trying to get information out of him,” Ripa said, implying that she didn’t even know what the role was. “And that’s why I think we’ve been married so long, that you’re so sly about the details, and that you’re not convinced that you, like your parents, are in the CIA.”
“No, it’s just called being a man,” Consuelos replied, joking about the one-liners men often give when talking to their wives. “‘How was at work?’ ‘Good’ ‘What scenes did you shoot today?’ “Just stuff.”
The only thing Ripa knew for sure, she revealed, was that the TV series was filmed in Atlanta. “Because IW like in Atlanta,” she teased him. “I was a Hollywood wife.”

The couple went on another trip this summer, to Geneva, Switzerland.
It was their first time there, although their daughter Lola (23) – with whom they traveled – “goes quite a bit”.
“Hats off to the people in Switzerland. We’ve only been to one city, but it’s the cleanest. No bubblegum, no wrapper,” Consuelos said, and Ripa joked, “We were looking for dirt!”

Photos from the trip were shared by Ripa and Consuelos on Living with Kelly and Mark. The couple also posted pictures from the getaway on social networks.
“It was really nice,” Ripa said, noting that she got to Switzerland first, while Consuelos was still filming in Atlanta. “Because I know Mark and I know my daughter, I’ve done all the touristy things that I know they won’t do with me because they’ll be embarrassed. ‘You look like a tourist’ ‘Guess what – I am!’ ”
