Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin Hold Hands on Mexico Getaway Days After Madame Web Opens

Dakota Johnson soaks up the sun with her boyfriend Chris Martin.

The Madame Web star, 34, was seen hitting the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Monday with Martin, 46. The pair were photographed holding hands as they waded into the water together, just days after Johnson Spider man– the superhero movie opened in theaters on Valentine’s Day.

Johnson and the Coldplay singer began dating in 2017, some time after Martin famously “consciously separated” from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014 and finalized his divorce in 2016. The couple made their first public appearance together at Stella McCartney’s Fall 2018 collection .event in January 2018.

Several years into their relationship, the couple remain secretive about their love life and seem to spend most of their time together at their home in Malibu, California. Johnson collaborated with Martin and Coldplay as the director of the music video for their 2020 song “Cry Cry Cry,” and the pair also spend time with Martin’s ex Paltrow, 51, and her husband Brad Falchuk.

“We’re actually really good friends,” Paltrow told her Instagram followers about her relationship with Johnson during a Q&A she hosted in October 2023. “I love her so much. She’s such a sweet, wonderful person.”

After that comes Johnson and Martin’s vacation in Mexico Madame Web — which stars Johnson as a New York paramedic who gains psychic powers — grossed $25.8 million after opening last Wednesday, taking in $15.1 million between Friday and Sunday at the domestic box office and earning an additional $25.7 million internationally .

In a recent interview with MagicFM, Johnson admitted that she hasn’t seen it yet Madame Webalthough she noted that she usually doesn’t watch her movies.

“For me, it’s a way to not have, like, an existential crisis,” she said during the interview, which was shared on TikTok. “Not watching my movies is self-care.”

Johnson doesn’t have any upcoming movies on his schedule yet Madame Web. Martin, however, plans to tour with Coldplay this summer, starting with the band’s upcoming shows in Athens, Greece in June.
