On Monday, Nov. 11, members of the legendary NFL cheerleading squad — including Reece Weaver, Jada McLean and Caroline Sundvold — revealed in a YouTube video that the documentaries, American darlingshas officially been renewed for a 2nd season.

The clip showed the crew performing the routine from their dressing room, while director Kelli Finglass could be heard counting beats before they revealed their rolls on the ground in the shape of a “2”.

According to the streaming platform, “the fan-favorite series will return to continue giving viewers unfiltered access to this legendary team and franchise. Season 2 will follow the 2024-25 Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad from start to finish — starting with auditions and training camp and continues through the NFL season.”

Fans of the first season will remember that over the course of seven episodes, cameras caught Finglass, as well as choreographer Judy Trammell, auditioning the new members during rehearsals before making the necessary cuts to the team during training camp.

The series then followed Weaver, McLean, Sundvold and others as they navigated learning new and old routines — including the famous “Thunderstruck” number — while balancing the rigorous demands of the team and the ups and downs of their personal lives.

As former team member Victoria Kalena told PEOPLE, on American darlings“you get to see the outside lives of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ showmanship,” while Trammell noted that she “enjoys[ed] to see them and their personal lives.”
