Dalljiet Kaur met Shaleen Bhanot on the sets of TV series Kulvaddhu and fell in love with him. The couple got married on December 9, 2009. She has a son, Jaydon. In 2015, Daljit filed for divorce, accusing Shaleen of domestic violence. Her son’s name was Shaarav earlier. She later changed her name to Jaydon to give up her ex-husband’s identity, Shaleen Bhanot.

Rumors about their breakup began to surface in February 2024 when Dalljiet deleted her photos with Nikhil and his last name from her social media profiles. Later, her team said she had returned to India to undergo surgery with her parents and would not discuss the rumors. Nikhil confirmed their separation in May 2024 after Dalljiet Kaur accused him of having an extramarital affair.

Dalljiet Kaur started her acting career in 2004 with the TV series Manshaa. Later, she made special appearances in the TV series CID, Aahat and Raat Hone Ko Hai. In 2005, she played the role of “Siya” in the TV series “Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan”. Her first lead role was in the serial “Kulvaddhu” where she played the role of “Niyati”. In 2008, she participated in the fourth season of dance reality show Nach Baliye with her then husband Shaleen Bhanot and became the winner of the show.

Dalljiet filed an FIR against Shalin Bhanot in 2015, accusing him of attempting to murder her and demanding dowry.
Marital discord with Nikhil Patel
After Dalljiet accused Nikhil of indulging in extramarital affairs even after marrying her in 2024, Nikhil posted a statement on Instagram saying that he was not “legally married” to Dalljiet as he was not married to Dalljiet when they got married. Divorced his first wife; he also provided a message to her and her family. He also said that Dalljiet was unhappy with not getting the attention in Kenya that he got in India and decided to leave him and move back to India from Kenya in 2023. He also revealed that Kaur often called him late at night and abused him over the phone.
