Daman Thakore, a business tycoon, and his exploration of the Silk Road in a vintage car!

Who said that businessmen only do business? Some also go out for research. Indian business tycoon, Daman Thakore is not only in business, but is also an avid traveler who started an interesting journey on the spice route. He is not alone on the journey; his “Red Angel” or Lal Pari” will accompany him. The Lal Pari is actually his beloved model car from 1950. The expedition brought the man to Cappadocia, a famous tourist destination in Turkey.

Thakore is a fifty-year-old business tycoon. He started his journey from Ahmedabad on August 12. He then traveled to Dubai by sea route. Then he traveled through Iran and finally to Turkey.

Thakore said, “This place is truly unlike any other, with its unique and breathtaking beauty. Cappadocia boasts the most beautiful vistas I have ever witnessed in my life.”

The car was a classic beauty – a 73-year-old red car. The adventure lasted 12,000 kilometers. The man’s journey aims to reach London, as this is where the car was originally manufactured.

The man was traveling at a speed of 60 km/h. It took the businessman 42 days to reach Cappadocia.

When the man was about to express his connection with the car, he said, “We’ve had this vehicle since I was 3 years old and I practically grew up in it. As a child, my mother used to entertain me with stories of ‘Lal Pari’ and his adventures. Now, basically, again I relive these stories as I travel from India to London. When we reach Istanbul, we will have completed half of our journey. After that, we will continue traveling for about another month. Upon arrival in London, the logistical challenges of returning overland would significantly affect my work. will decide to travel by plane for the return trip, while our vehicle will return by sea.”
