Alan Bersten refutes Kaitlyn Bristowe’s claims about his behavior on Dancing with the stars.
Earlier this month, Bristowe – who won the season 29 DWTS with her partner Artem Chigvintsev — the professional dancer talked about her episode Off the Vine podcast with colleagues Bachelor alum Charity Lawson, who is slated to compete with Chigvintseva this season.
“He’s kind of a p—, but I see it,” Bristowe, 38, told Lawson, 27. “Well, they’re all p—s, they’re all p—s, I say you. Buckle up.” She added that Bersten is “ballroom crazy”.
On Wednesday, the 29-year-old ballroom dancer, who took home the mirror ball trophy with BachelorSeason 28 Hannah Brown responded to Bristowe’s accusation. He denied her claims, pointing out that he takes “a lot of pride” in his work and in making his dance partners happy.
“First of all, I’ve never danced with Kaitlyn, so I don’t know why that would even happen,” he said. US Weekly on Wednesday. “I am very proud of my work and I make sure that, above all, my partners feel comfortable and confident in themselves.”

However, the dancing champion also added that he took Bristowe’s words “in a way” as a compliment.
The Bachelor The star appeared to try to clarify her words on Saturday, calling Bersten one of her “closest friends” from the ABC series.
“I can be p—. We can all be p—s,” she wrote in a since-deleted post on her Instagram Story, in response to the question. “Alan is one of my closest friends from the show.”
I have nothing but love and respect for him, she continued. “I think it’s okay to be a d— and make people believe in themselves and light a fire.”

Bersten is currently in a couple with Zoey 101 alum and singer Jamie Lynn Spears for the upcoming season Dancing with the stars.
At the time her casting was announced Good morning America Spears, 32, admitted she wasn’t entirely “prepared” for the experience, but had every intention of donating her weekly earnings to SAG-AFTRA and the WGA amid their ongoing strike.
“I don’t know if you can ever be 100% ready to take on something this big; I didn’t realize what a commitment it was, but it definitely is. I’m ready to challenge myself,” she later said, adding, “While everyone else in my community is on strike, I have this unique opportunity where I’m offered the chance to work when my community can’t work. So I figured I’d do this and I’d donate my weekly wages… just to give back to them at a time when I can’t give back to myself.”

While rehearsals are underway, Bersten said the two have already grown close. We had the first rehearsal and it was great, he said. “Jamie Lynn is so hardworking and so dedicated and it’s actually so much fun. We get along so well.”
“He was wonderful,” Spears added. “My family met him and he was great. I wouldn’t want to do that with anyone else.”

Season 32 of Dancing with the stars premieres Tuesday, September 26 on ABC, and will air on Disney+ and Hulu.
