Instead, it was revealed in 2014 that he was seeing Marissa Rachelle Rodney, a stylist at Royal Tease Hair and Makeup in Las Vegas. The couple met at a charity event the previous year. They continued their relationship by celebrating Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas in 2018. They even shared the amazing moment on Instagram. Negreanu’s partner said it was her best Valentine’s Day ever.
However, their romance quickly ended, and Negreanu confirmed the split on his blog at the end of June 2018. He cited incompatibility in their relationship as the reason for their breakup.

Negreanu briefly dated Amanda Leatherman, a poker hostess, before his romance with Marissa Rachelle Rodney. Their relationship then failed and the two parted ways. In an interview with Spportbladet Poker in 2014, the poker champion admitted that he had a problem after the break. However, the breakup only strengthened their relationship. Negreanu reunited with Amanda in 2018 and began dating her. Luckily, the Toronto native wasted no time getting down on one knee to propose to Leatherman in January 2019.

On May 17, 2019, the couple tied the knot at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, four months after their engagement. For the event, Negreanu wore a blue suit while his wife wore a white V-neck lace wedding dress.

Negreanu was born on July 26, 1974 in Toronto, Canada to parents Constantino and Annie Negreanu. At the age of 16, Daniel discovered a passion for gambling, playing pool and poker. He attended Pineway Public High School in North York before dropping out to pursue a professional poker career in charities and casinos.
From rookie to poker player of the year
Negreanu moved to Las Vegas to pursue his ambition of becoming a professional poker player. He had a pattern of winning poker in Toronto and losing in Las Vegas. Despite this, he persevered and reached the World Poker Finals in 1997. He was rated the best all-around player. 2004 was the best year of his career, as he reached 11 final tables and earned a huge amount of money. In 2004, he was crowned ‘2004 Card Player Player of the Year’ and ‘WSOP Player of the Year’. His total live tournament earnings have exceeded $42,053,305 as of 2020. However, he lost around $1.2 million against another poker player, Doug Polk, in the Doug Polk vs. Daniel Negreanu Challenge in February 2021.
Supports the Gay community
Daniel, who was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2014, is an outspoken advocate for LGBT rights. In July 2012, one of his followers on Twitter inquired about his sexual orientation. He simply stated that he is not gay and strongly supports gay rights. Then, in August 2012, Negreanu stood up for LGBT rights, stating that homosexuality is not a sin. He also said that all persons, homosexual or heterosexual, are equal in God’s eyes since they were created.
