The hockey player was initially linked to the former tennis player in 2017, and in 2019 the two athletes were linked again, with several Czech sites stating that they met at a Christmas party and then went to one of his homes. The couple never confirmed their relationship. The hockey icon has been in a relationship with Czech model Dominika Branisova since 2020. Daniela was born in Poprad, Slovakia to parents Igor and Marianne Hantuchova. She also has an older brother, Igor Hantcuh Jr. Daniela previously posted photos of herself with her mother and older brother on X (formerly Twitter). Hantuchova was introduced to tennis by her grandmother Helena, a former Slovakian national champion. Daniela’s parents were athletes by profession. Her father was a computer scientist, and her mother was a toxicologist. Her parents divorced in 2003, which affected her performance.
Only in 2004 did the tennis star admit to the divorce of her parents. During that period, Daniela was often accused of being anorexic and obsessed with her appearance. But all the time she was worried about her parents’ divorce. She said,
