Darius Rucker has Caroline in mind – even when abroad.
The winner of Grammy, 58, explained in the Instagram post on Saturday, February 1st, that he really “lived in London” while shooting new material and preparing for new gigs. But, as he wrote, the city could never “replace” its home country of South Carolina.
Rucker’s post follows his life update on the platform just two days before, when he discovered that he moved to London and intended to play some shows in the UK

In his latest Instagram message, the singer “Wagon Wheel” opened, reminding the fans that he had been a “passenger musician” all his life.
“I live in London as I work on some new music and play some shows,” Rucker wrote. “I’ve always been on the list of buckets – but don’t twist it … everything won’t replace Caroline and it’s still at home.”
“Thanks for believed in me and supporting my music wherever we do,” he added. “I love!”

The message to the fans was followed by the Rucker’s post on January 30, when he shared a handful on stage. “I can’t move to London and not play in the UK! Do you have your tickets already? Limited VIP packages are still available,” he wrote at the time. “See you soon!”
While in the UK, Rucker will perform next month in the CMA Songwriters series in Greenwich, on his website. After some summer dates in the US, in the fall she will play more in the UK in Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
Earlier in the month, Rucker posted additional recordings from his last stay in the UK and teased to “do something”. Originally from South Carolina, whose three children currently live in the United States, he had previously lived in Nashville and Charleston.

Rucker often spoke gently about his hometown of Charleston, including in 2019, when he said Greenville News If the city was “where should I be.” He also renewed a historic property in Charleston and presented it on his Design Network show Rucker’s reno 2022.
“I like people a lot. My family is here; my brothers and sisters are here,” he said Greensville News. “I still live here because I feel like when I get off the bus, when I get off the plane, I feel like it’s at home. So, I think God wants me to be there.”
Rucker had previously lived in Nashville with his now 20-year-old son Jack, as he gave Architectural digest Tour of the estate 2020. At the time, he discovered that he and Jack “came here to the golf course” and “others for everything else”.
Rucker is also dad’s daughter Daniella, 23, with former Beth Leonard, as well as daughter Carolyn, 29, from his past relationship with Elizabeth Ann Phillips. Back in November, the musician took both of his daughters to see Taylor Swift tour, while at the time he shared a family shot, “I took my girls to see a legend. What an amazing show.”
