Dave Grohl Jokes He and the Foo Fighters Are on Their 'Errors Tour': 'I'm Feeling Like Taylor Swift'

Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters feel like Taylor Swift.

While performing in Manchester, England on June 15, the frontman, 55, took a few moments between songs to talk about the 14-time Grammy winner, 34, and her record-breaking Eras tour.

Like Swift, the “Everlong” rockers are in the middle of the UK leg of their tour, which inspired Grohl to make the comparisons at the Manchester show. In a clip of the concert taken by TikTok user StrettyEnd, Grohl said: “See, now I feel like Taylor Swift!”

After his claim, which was met with mixed reactions from the crowd, the frontman added: “I should be lucky.”

“Listen—this is my Eras tour tonight, okay? I have many eras,” Grohl continued. “Spelling mistakes. This is my ‘Errors Tour’, how about that?”

“That’s what we should have called this fucking tour: The Errors Tour,” he added.

Later in the show, Grohl returned to Swift and his “Mistakes Tour,” joking that it’s an apt name because of all the mistakes his band makes during live shows.

“I know we were joking earlier about the Taylor Swift tour. I know she’s on her Eras Tour,” the rocker said, drawing boos from the crowd. As the taunting continued, Grohl shook his head and said, “I’m telling you man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.”

“So we like to call our tour the Errors Tour,” he continued, “because I feel like we’ve had more than a few periods and more than a few f—— mistakes too. Just a couple.”

Then, in a seemingly pointed comment, he said, “That’s because we’re playing live.” And, in a sarcastically shocked voice, he added, “What?”

After quickly walking away from the microphone – as the crowd reacted – he returned and said: “Just sayin’.” We are a live band! You love live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You’ve come to the right fucking place.”

Grohl’s statements, which insinuate that Swift doesn’t perform live, were widely interpreted as a slight on the Internet, especially considering that she does perform live.

The comment came as a surprise to the rocker’s fans, given that he’s already been photographed with — and said to be “obsessed” with — Swift.

The “My Hero” singer previously called out Swift nearly a decade ago while performing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2015 — and even dedicated a song to the singer at the festival.

“Taylor Swift’s hometown, anyone?” said ua clip emissions. “I’m officially obsessed, she might want to get a restraining order because I’m all about T. Swift.”
