Netflix released a trailer for Beckhamdocumentary series examining David Beckham’s professional career promises to be an emotional time, with the star close to tears at one point.
In the trailer, which you can watch in full below, the father-of-four appeared close to tears as the documentary focused on some of the low points of his career and was mocked by fans. “I don’t think I’ve ever talked about it,” he said as the trailer showed footage of his red card and the negative headlines it generated.

“I didn’t eat, I didn’t sleep. It took a toll on me that I didn’t even know.” His wife Victoria Beckham also spoke about the media’s interest in their lives, saying: “It’s always fun when a circus comes to town, isn’t it? Unless you’re in it.”
However, the trailer also captures the happier moments of his life, including his meteoric rise to the top of English football and his relationship with wife Victoria, with the star even lightly teasing her during one of her interviews.

Beckham will be a four-part documentary series, arriving on Netflix on October 4th.

The trailer comes shortly after David and Victoria marked an important moment with their son Romeo who marked his 21st birthday. To mark the special occasion, the doting parents were quick to share a touching montage of photos and video clips on their social media feeds.

Among the many photos, former professional footballer David (48) and fashion designer VB (49) shared a series of touching photos from Romeo’s childhood.
The cute compilation featured clips of Romeo on vacation, clips of the boys playing soccer and more recent pictures of their son hanging out with his model girlfriend Mia Regan.

Alongside the birthday tribute, former Spice Girl Victoria proudly said: “Happy birthday @RomeoBeckham…. The sweetest, kindest and most generous soul. We are so proud of you and love you more than words can express, you are our everything xx Kisses .”
Caring dad David meanwhile wrote: “Happy 21st birthday to my little man [pink heart emoji] Dad is so proud of the person you have become, kind, generous and passionate about what you love, keep being who you are and dream big [pink heart emoji] we love you so much x @romeobeckham x.”
The series arrives on October 4
Romeo followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a professional footballer and currently plays for Brentford Football Club’s reserve team after initially joining on a six-month loan.
He previously played for Inter Miami, and in last year’s photos he really followed in David’s footsteps with a shaved head!

One fan noticed the resemblance between him and David, commenting: “Be like daddy, Romeo.” His teammates were also quick to respond to the post, with Shaan Hundal saying: “Awesome”, while many others posted a string of emojis, including fires and flowers.
