Jackson Burkhalter is a professional football quarterback for the Rhode Island Rams. He was born in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Jackson also attended Worcester Academy, where he was coached by Jeremy Bandya. The UAB Blazers, Ole Miss Rebels and Nebraska Cornhuskers have all sent offers to the 2020 class. Jackson had a slow start but achieved some feats.
Jackson redshirted and did not play in any games during the 2021 season. As a freshman in the 2020 season, he joined the team in the spring semester and was allowed to practice but not play. As a sophomore, he was named 6A Player of the Week, Preseason Coastal Player of the Week, Adidas Elite Gauntlet Team, All-Area 1st Team Sophomore and leading rebounder.
Besides soccer, he enjoys basketball and soccer. He was a four-year letterman in the game and also played AAU basketball for Game Elite in Atlanta. Jackson Burkhalter weighs 225 pounds and is 6 feet 5 inches tall. He has been reported to have the stature and arm strength the programs need. He also practices footwork and throwing methods. Jackson was always the tallest player on the field.

Todd Burkhalter’s son is Jackson Burkhalter. He played and coached I. football. He was an Auburn tight end and Vanderbilt graduate coach. The father-son team often discusses football. Todd taught Jackson how to play the game at a high level and is one of Jackson’s main influences outside of his coaching staff. The Rhode Island Rams quarterback’s father instilled in him the importance of toughness and teamwork.
Jackson has a younger brother, Christian, who plays football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The two brothers have a lot in common and often bond over football. The Burkhalters are devout Christians. They are white/Caucasian and have US citizenship.
Jackson Burkhalter has been playing soccer since childhood
When Jackson was in the third grade, he started playing football. He enjoyed both offense and defense, but when he entered high school, the coaches pushed him to full-time QB. In the role of leader, he was always relaxed. He enjoys being able to call players, set up attacks and perform well under pressure.
In his football career, his leadership qualities and physical characteristics were his most valuable assets. Jackson led his team St. Paul’s Middle School to two consecutive district titles. They went undefeated in 2014 and finished 6-2 in 2015. Jackson averaged 700 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions on the season.
