David Beckham teamed up with Stella Artois — at the expense of his ego!
On Tuesday, the Anheuser-Busch brand announced its collaboration with the soccer pro in a hilarious video. The ad shows bar patrons who care more about beer than meeting Beckham.
At the start of the video (above), Beckham is seen sitting at a stylish bar ordering a Stella Artrois. As the draft flows seductively into the branded glass, other patrons are seen looking in Beckham’s direction, leading viewers to believe they are his fans.
The professional athlete catches them watching him, but turns quickly when they stand up to presumably greet him. One of the women puts a hand on his shoulder, but instead of professing her love like a fan, she says “excuse me,” and grabs the two frothy Stella Artois beers he’s blocking.

Clearly sensing his bruised ego, the bartender smiles pitifully at Beckham as the encounter goes down with a smile.
The brand’s campaign title, “A Taste Worth More,” cheekily plays on the fact that a sip of Stella Artois is worth more than meeting Beckham at a bar, according to the outlet.
For Beckham, the partnership is a natural fit. “The brand and its distinctive taste have been beloved for years,” he said in a statement.
Beckham’s taste for fine food and drink goes beyond beer. Recently, wife Victoria Beckham shared her healthy eating routine, including their favorite green juice recipe.

“So David is making green juice,” Victoria said as David chopped up the fruits and vegetables. “So every morning after we drink the apple cider vinegar, we drink a green juice.”
She listed the ingredients as spinach, broccoli, cucumber, celery, lemon, ginger and lime.
“And also, always put in some fruit,” added Victoria. “So we’ve got some apple in here. We’re also going to throw in some pear. Because if not, these green juices can get a little scary.”
