David Beckham is adding some new ink to his ever-growing collection!
The former footballer, 49, revealed he recently got a new graphic tattoo from one of his artists – London-based Certified Letter Boy – and shared photos of the new addition painted on the side of his leg below the knee.
On his Instagram stories, he showed a video of a tattoo artist inking the outline of two hands pressed together in a prayer position. Underneath the picture he wrote “Thank you mate x.”
In the next photo, he showed off a close-up of the new tattoo, which featured several details, including knuckle and palm lines, nails and shadow detail. He tagged the tattoo artist and wrote a white heart emoticon underneath showing him some gratitude.

Certified Letter Boy posted more photos of Beckham, captioning his Instagram post with the words: “Praying hands tattoo for the main man. “Thank you for your trust, DB 🫶🏻
The latest ink brings Beckham one step closer to 100 tattoos, as filmmaker Fisher Stevens previously shared in the Netflix documentary series Beckham that the British athlete was already close to that number.
“At the time I asked, ‘How many tattoos do you have?’ He said, ‘I’m 88,'” Stevens recalled.
However, during the filming of the documentary, Stevens said they discovered that Beckham had at least “six” more tattoos that he did not include in his initial count. When asked about the reason “why” he has so many tattoos, the director recalled that Beckham told him, “I just like them.”
“I ask, ‘Is there some form of self-torture?’ And he said, ‘No, I don’t think so.’ That’s what I thought,” he added.

In September 2023, he revealed that he got the word “Posh” written in cursive on the bottom of his middle finger, right next to the finger he wears a gold wedding ring in honor of his wife Victoria Beckham, who was Posh Spice in the Spice Girls.
He also has another tribute to his wife in the form of a “Victoria” tattoo on his arm, plus the names of the four children he and the fashion designer share: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13. Even Harper drew him a tattoo that shared in 2017

He previously said Sun that “all the tattoos I have belong to the family.”
The rest of his tattoos are inspirational messages including “Dream big, be unrealistic”, “In the face of adversity” and “Let them hate while they fear”.
