Dayle Haddon's Last Major Modeling Moment Was a Vogue Editorial with Blake Lively Published 4 Months Before Her Death

Dayle Haddon appeared Vogue alongside Blake Lively this fall, in what ended up being her last big moment as a model.

Four months before the actress and former supermodel’s sudden death from possible carbon monoxide poisoning at the age of 76, she starred in “The Heist of the Heart,” a cinematic photoshoot for the magazine’s September 2024 issue.

It was directed by Baz Luhrmann and inspired by Alfred Hitchcock Catch the thiefhe acted in the photo shoot Gossip Girl Alum, 37, as “The Cat,” while her friend Hugh Jackman appeared as her co-star L’Ombre.

Meanwhile, Haddon appeared alongside Lively in just one shot, which was set in a casino.

Haddon shared a snap on Instagram in August, showing her gambling at a table and appearing to trade chips with Lively, along with some behind-the-scenes footage and a sweet message highlighting her co-stars.

The late star began the message by saying she had a “wonderful time” working on the glamour Vogue shoot. She then went on to praise the “brilliant” Luhrmann, writing: “Brilliant director and photographer, Baz, enthusiastic, creative, engaging, bloody fun to work with!!”

Haddon also had a lot of fun working with Lively. She said she “loved working next to” the film star and described her as “absolutely lovely, funny and mischievous”.

The late star went on to thank other collaborators, such as stylist Tonna Goodman, who hired her for the shoot, as well as Jackman, 56, whom she called “elegant and witty.”

Haddon also said that during the Hitchcock-inspired shoot, the Marvel star jumped into his most iconic character, Wolverine, to play “endlessly” with “one of Blake’s adorable girls.”

Haddon died at the home of her son-in-law Marc Blucas in Bucks County, Penn. on Friday, December 27.

Solebury Township police arrived at the home around 6:30 a.m. local time after receiving a 911 call, a department representative told PEOPLE.

Authorities found the 76-year-old man — who police later confirmed to PEOPLE as Walter Blucas — passed out on the first floor of the home, according to a police report. He was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, where he is being treated.

The woman – later confirmed by the Bucks County Deputy Coroner USA Today bio Haddon – found dead in second floor bedroom. A toxicology report is being conducted to determine her official cause of death, the coroner said.

“An investigation indicates that a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on the gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak,” authorities said.
