DC Young Fly Mourns Sister’s Death: ‘In a Matter of a Year I Lost 3 People’

DC Young Fly is mourning another loved one.

The Celebrity shops host, 31, announced his sister’s death in an Instagram post on Monday. The news comes months after his longtime partner, Jacky Oh, died at the age of 32.

“Within a year I lost 3 people☹️ my Cuzzin last August, my little girl in May and my sister a few days ago🤦🏽‍♂️.. you have to endure the mission knowing that GOD has you and will give you strength.. .”, he wrote.

While the TV personality did not reveal details about his sister’s death, he continued his statement by urging his followers to “put God first” and “remain in prayer.”

“Make sure Yu stays righteous and don’t get angry because GOD is love and love will always overcome adversity,” he added. The comments section was filled with many messages of support from his friends and fans.

“So sorry to hear DC. Sending you love and healing. I know you are strong but I will continue to cover you in prayer 🙏🏾❤️,” wrote singer-songwriter Keri Hilson.

Colleague Wild ‘N Out the Hitman Hall star wrote: “I love you boy! Call me if you need anything and apologize for your loss ❤️‍🩹.” The game commented: “I love you champs. 🤜🏾🤛🏾”

The comedian – whose real name is John Whitfield – previously opened up about how he copes with grief by talking about Jacky Oh’s death during an appearance on The Steve Harvey Morning Show.

“There’s no human secret way of dealing with things, especially when real life hits you,” he said. “And I think a lot of people don’t know real life – you create and create how your life can go today, but you don’t know where your life will go tomorrow.”

As he spoke for the first time since her death, he referred to their family, including their children Nova, Nala and Prince Nehemiah.

“I was in no rush to post this because I really wanted it to be a dream, but every hour reminds me of reality [sic] so I want to make sure I applaud you the right way 😢,” he wrote in a heartfelt post on Instagram. “You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW, your soul was beautiful.”
