Deana Uppal represented the UK in Miss India Global 2012. In 2012, she was crowned Miss India (UK) by former Miss India Ankita Ghazan. She later became a model with the experience she gained in beauty pageants.

Deana is the founder of Kindness Diaries DKU Charitable Trust, a registered charity in India that provides education and distributes daily essentials to communities below the poverty line. In 2020, she established her own production company DKU Productions in India. Duke Kunshan University Productions produces films, documentaries, commercials and photography. Deana also runs another company, DKU Cosmetics, which specializes in hair transplants.

Arrested for speeding
In 2014, the former Miss India was caught speeding in a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster by London City police. She was arrested for reckless driving; however, she was released after paying a fine. In an interview, speaking about her arrest, she said:
When I was speeding slightly, I was stopped by the police and fined. The car is still very new and I’m still getting used to operating such a large machine. I will be more careful in the future and stay within the speed limit. I’m a car nut and plan to buy a few more in the future. “

- During season 13 of the reality show Big Brother in 2012, Deana Uppal was heavily criticized by her fellow contestant Conor McIntyre. In a video that went viral, Deanna cries while Connor displays racist behavior, brandishing an epilator and calling her names.
- A picture of Deana Uppal holding hands with Shashi Tharoor during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 (India vs England) has gone viral. Apparently, Deanna, identified as the “Mystery Girl,” attracted the attention of thousands of viewers.
