Demi Lovato Recalls How She ‘Assisted’ Giving Boyfriend Jutes a Tattoo: ‘We Are Just Super in Love’

Demi Lovato was practical when it came to her boyfriend Jutes’ latest tattoo — literally!

The 31-year-old “Confident” singer stopped by. Show Jennifer Hudson on Thursday where they opened up about how she “helped” ink her musician.

“So my boyfriend was on tour with me, visiting and we had a tattoo artist there and he wanted to tattoo the name of my song ‘Forever for Me,’ which is a song I wrote about him,” Lovato said. “And while he was getting the tattoo, he said, ‘I want you to do it.’ ”

It was a question Lovato didn’t expect to hear. “I thought, ‘What?’ ” they remembered.

The star then told Hudson (42) that they reluctantly agreed. “I assisted, I wouldn’t say I gave the whole tattoo, otherwise it would look really bad,” she said with a laugh. “But I did a good bit of it and it turned out OK.”

“The way I met my boyfriend was actually at a session,” she said on the podcast. “He is a musician himself, but he is also a co-author of other people’s music. So he came to the session, and I was literally like, ‘Who is this guy?'”

“I texted my friends and was like, ‘Oh my god, the hottest guy just walked in. I’m so nervous. I don’t know what to do with myself,'” Lovato added before explaining that they had “been friends for a while” before rather than anything romantic because he was “so focused on the music”.
