Demi Lovato Says She Feels the ‘Most Confident’ During Sex: ‘It’s Not That Way for Everybody’

Demi Lovato gets candid about what makes her feel like she’s the best.

“I feel most confident when I’m having sex,” Lovato (who uses the pronouns she/they) revealed during the two-part episode with LadyGang podcast released on Tuesday.

“Because you’re so present that you don’t think about what it really is… which clouds your judgment for the rest of the day, or at least it does for me. It’s not like that for everyone,” the “Sorry Not Sorry” artist, 31, shared in part two interview.

Lovato is currently dating indie rock musician Jutes. The couple met when he came to work on their 2022 album SAINT FVCK.

The LADYBUG the artist often mentions how their paths crossed on social networks.

“Your heart has changed lives all over the planet… especially some guy from a farm in Canada who ended up at your session over a year ago,” he said in a birthday Instagram post on Aug. 20, showing his appreciation for the star.

“Oh my God.. BABY!!! This is the cutest fucking caption!! You make my life infinitely better and I don’t know what I would do without you,” she wrote in the comments, adding that he is “the best boyfriend in the universe” and “the perfect man.”

“It’s a really happy and healthy relationship. He’s a great guy,” a source told PEOPLE when the couple was confirmed to be dating that August.

In the first part LadyGang Podcast released last week, Lovato admitted that she wasn’t always super confident in front of the Jutes.

“The way I met my boyfriend was actually a séance,” the performer told hosts Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin and Jac Vanek. “He is a musician himself, but he is also a co-author of other people’s music. So he came to the session, and I literally thought, ‘Who is this guy?’ ”

“I texted my friends and said, ‘Oh my God, the hottest guy just walked in. I’m so nervous. I don’t know what to do with myself,'” Lovato recalled.

The “Cool for the Summer” singer then explained that she and Jutes didn’t start dating for “a couple of months” because “he was so focused on music.”

“We were friends for a while and then we told each other how we felt,” she added.

On Monday, Lovato spoke with PEOPLE for One Last Thing and admitted that performing in front of her boyfriend is one of the few times she still feels shy.

The “La La Land” hitmaker admitted that she gets nervous if “it’s like a television show or a performance, or my boyfriend is in the audience.”

“I get nervous if he’s there,” Lovato said.

However, the two obviously work very well together. SAINT FVCK they brought their team the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Rock and Alternative Albums chart.

“holy fvvvvvvck. I love it when people take risks and it pays off. f— rules f—- box. Demi was a rock star 😤,” Jutes said, praising Lovato’s carousel talent on Instagram in August 2022.

“I’m so proud of you and so inspired by your love @ddlovato. big W to the whole team on this, I’m grateful to be a part of something so stupid 🖤,” he added.

Lovato’s latest album, RENEWEDwas published on September 15.
