Demi Lovato is already imagining the first dance at her wedding.
During a pre-recorded conversation with Donna Farizan that aired Today with Hoda and Jenna on Friday, the singer — who uses the pronouns she/they — said she would like the Goo Goo Dolls to perform on her special day.
“I wish the Goo Goo Dolls could perform ‘Iris’ at my wedding as the first dance,” Lovato, 31, said. “That would be so special and so amazing.”
The musician and her fiance, Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes, first met in January 2022 while working on her song “Substance” and went public with their romance that August. They made their red carpet debut at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala in February 2023 and got engaged in December 2023.

During a talk show guest appearance, she proudly spoke about what makes her romance with Lutes (32) different.
“Having someone to be the weirdest, goofiest with is just fun. We have fun together. We’re able to make music together, which is something I’ve never done before,” she said.
Their love story is something that Lovato said made all the ups and downs she went through “worth it.”

“I think love is the greatest gift we can receive in this life, and being able to find love is so rewarding and definitely makes all the hardships and heartbreaks I’ve been through worthwhile,” she said.
Lovato appeared on the talk show to talk about her partnership with the American Heart Association. On Wednesday, the singer was a performer at the organization’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection Concert.
At the event, she told PEOPLE that she has a “clear vision” in terms of what she wants on the big day and has “definitely” started dress shopping.
