Singer and actress Demi Lovato has a close relationship with her family.
The Camp Rock the actress has two older sisters, Amber and Dallas Lovato, and one younger sister, Madison De La Garza. Demi’s father, Patrick Lovato, welcomed Amber during a previous marriage. Dallas was born in 1988 to Patrick and Dianna De La Garza — four years before the two would welcome Demi. After Patrick and Dianna separated, Dianna married Eddie De La Garza, and the couple welcomed Madison in 2001.
Both Dallas and Madison followed in Demi’s acting footsteps, with Dallas appearing on the Disney Channel and Madison starring in the hit drama Desperate Housewives. The siblings were also featured in Dema’s 2021 documentary series Demi Lovato: Dance with the Devil.
In 2021, Dallas discussed the close bond that siblings have.
“We’re such a close family and we’re really, really, really supportive,” she said during an interview with The Grizzly Podcast. “That’s one thing I can say I thank God for every single day about my family, and that’s the fact that we’re some of the tightest people around.”

Dallas had roles on the Disney Channel as a teenager

Like Demi, Dallas also had acting roles on the Disney Channel as a teenager and appeared in the pilot episode for Wizards of Waverly Place and Sonny with a Chance. Her other acting credits include a horror film Helpers and a Spanish animated film Snowflake, white gorilla.

Following in Demi’s footsteps, Madison also began her career as a child actress. Eva Longoria’s daughter, Juanita Solis, famously played on Desperate Housewives from 2008 to 2012.
However, more than a decade after the show ended, Madison has opened up about her issues while starring on the show, including the eating disorder she developed at a very young age.
“The reactions I got to my character Desperate Housewivesit was just shocking,” Madison said on The heart of what matters podcast in 2023. “A lot of people came at it as ‘concerned about my health.’ And I personally believe that’s just not true, that it was a cover-up so they could just judge a 6-year-old.”
She recalled sneaking onto her computer to spend “hours and hours” reading some of the cruel comments left about her on social media and in articles.
“I would spend an insane amount of time reading those comments, and most of them were just awful,” she explained.
She added: “Reading comments like that definitely affected my mental health and ultimately contributed to developing an eating disorder at a very young age.”
Demi didn’t connect with her older sister Amber until she was 20 years old

In 2013, the “Self-confident” singer publicly revealed that they have another older sister during a guest appearance on a radio show.
“[Amber is] my half-sister, but I spoke to her for the first time in my life when I turned 20,” said Demi.
“I asked her, I said, ‘Why didn’t you ever contact me?’ ” continued the “Heart Attack” singer. “She said, ‘Well, I never wanted you to think I wanted anything from you. So I was just waiting to see if you wanted a relationship.’ I thought that was so amazing.”
Dallas is an acting and vocal coach
According to Dallas’ Instagram bio, Dallas works as an acting and singing coach.
She also “makes beautiful things” and often shows off her colorful creations on her Instagram and TikTok accounts. In April 2023, she showed off a tie-dye T-shirt with the words “MANIAK” written across the front in graffiti style.
They supported each other in difficult times

Demi, Dallas, and Madison have been talking to fans about their mental health and sobriety journeys for years — and they’ve had each other’s back through it all.
In 2018, Demi suffered a near-fatal drug overdose, which she later discussed in her 2021 docuseries. Dance with the devil. Almost a month after Demi’s hospitalization, Madison expressed her support for her big sister on Instagram, writing, “Today could have been one of the worst days of my life, but instead I got to spend it thanking God, the amazing doctors, Demi’s team, and everyone around of the world who offered their support – without all these people I would no longer have my older sister.”
Demi was also there for Dallas and Madison as they talked about their own struggles. In March 2021, Dallas shared her feelings of anxiety with her 60,000 followers on Instagram. In response, Demi left a heartfelt comment on her sister’s post, writing: “Proud of you!” Dallas responded by commenting, “Thank you for being her to me, especially now… I’m so lucky to have you as my sister AND FRIEND.”
And when Madison opened up about her decision to get sober at age 20, she told E! The news that Demi “was an example for me. Now I have become an example to other people and I couldn’t be happier. I’m grateful for that.”
The actress, who had been sober for 248 days at the time of the interview, said she decided to embark on her “journey of recovery” after substances began to change her personal relationships.
“Last year I went through a lot of things that made me stay in bed, made me hide from the world,” she explained. “When I realized that it was starting to affect my relationship not only with my friends, but especially my relationship with my mom, that’s when I knew I had to make a change.”

Demi and Dallas appeared together in Demi’s documentary series in 2021 Not identified with Demi Lovato. Along with their friends and some famous guest stars, the two set out on a journey to find evidence of extraterrestrial life.
“Before this experience, I was definitely open to UFOs and aliens,” Dallas told MTV during a promotional interview. “I had a lot of experience with the paranormal, so when they invited me on board I said, ‘Cool, let’s go!’ ”
Madison is expecting her first child
In September 2024, Madison announced that she would be welcoming her first child with her boyfriend, actor Ryan Mitchell, in an Instagram post the following month. She included photos of herself celebrating with Demi, Dallas and their mom, with the caption, “Oh Ryan, I love you so much. Thank you for making all my dreams come true. ♥️ Baby Mitchell 10.24”.
“I already love you and this child so much!!” Demi wrote in the comments section.
