Demi Moore Says Dating Has ‘Not Really Been Where My Focus Is’ as She’s Been Concentrating on ‘My Work’

Demi Moore doesn’t see relationships as a priority right now.

Talking to The Guardian in a new interview published on Saturday, September 14, Substance star revealed that work has been mostly her focus as her first new film in two years hits theaters this month.

“Am I going out?” Moore asked, repeating the questioner’s question. “I don’t know. I will say that’s not what I’ve focused on. Especially in the past four, five years, my focus has been to focus on my job.”

Moore, 61, said at the time that she eventually wanted to focus more on her craft after “deciding not to work” for a “long” time.

“It’s not that I’m not interested in dating,” she added. “It’s more about knowing that I’m in a place now where it’s much more about choice rather than feeling like there’s any kind of disadvantage.”

After explaining that she thinks women are “in many ways more resilient” and “stronger,” Moore said women are also “often” caregivers.

“So I think when we get to that place of greater independence and freedom in our later years, I don’t know if we’re going to … look to others for responsibility. We have, for the first time, a real space to move without the weight of others,” she said, adding that she also enjoys “being with others” and has “full faith, because I think we are a common species”.
