Denise Richards opens up about the unfortunate way her longtime friendship with Lisa Rinna dissolved following her engagement on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
In his two-part appearance on Bethenny Frankel Only B podcast, Richards, 54, opened up about her fractured relationship with Rinna, 60, and how the Bravo show took a toll on their friendship.
“My experience with Lisa Rinna was so bad that I was like, ‘OK, what’s going to happen next season?'” she recalled on Frankel’s podcast. “I had an… experience. … It wasn’t good with Lisa Rinna and it made me sad.”
She continued, “I had a 20-year friendship with her and to see how she can sacrifice a 20-year friendship for a show that’s not going to last forever — obviously, she’s not on it anymore — like, at what cost?”

Richards first joined the show in 2019 for season 9. Her decision to hand over her diamond came after a tense season 10, during which the actress found herself at odds with nearly all of her castmates.
As fans know, Richards’ last season was mostly focused on drama, including her anger that her housewives brought up the topic of threesomes at her family barbecue, which included her children. She also fell out with Rinna over rumors she had an affair with Brandi Glanville — allegations she vehemently denies.

Richards admitted that she thinks the two would still be friends if it weren’t for her two seasons on the show. “I think you learn a lot about people when you live with them, travel with them or work with them. I’ve never worked with Rinna before,” she added.
Despite his tumultuous journey ahead RHOBHthe Wild things the actress isn’t opposed to returning to the series permanently now that Rinna has handed over her diamond.
“We’ll see whatever happens,” she opined, before opening up about her decision to appear in season 13. “I don’t know if they’re going to call me back, I just did a few episodes. I’m not calling to say, ‘Hey, can I come back?'”

Although Richards may be ready to return RHOBH, she didn’t forget the fights she had with the other Housewives. The actress admitted that she doesn’t know how her return “would make sense” given the animosity still shared by some of the ladies.
“After my second season, I also — because I wanted it to be real — thought, ‘How would this make sense if all the women hate me?’ she said. “Almost everyone did, except for Garcelle [Beauvais] and Sutton [Stracke]but everyone else was such an asshole to me.”
Richards confirmed that Diversity in April for which she “recorded some episodes”. RHOBH. Her surprise return comes two years after her September 2020 release was announced.

“It was fun. And you know, I’m a huge fan of the show, so it was fun to go back and shoot a lot of stuff with them,” she shared.
Richards explained that her return is not planned. “It all happened in a hurry recently,” she explained. “I was in [Garcelle’s] looking like a friend — like a real friend — I didn’t tell anyone I’d be there. The production did not know. I just showed up, like, for real life, like a real friend in real life.”
“The next day they asked me to go to some events – and it was so much fun,” she added.
